Disturbing details surface after Kiefer Sutherland is taken into custody for a violent crime in Hollywood
Kiefer Sutherland’s night out reportedly ended in police custody after an incident during a late-night Uber ride in Los Angeles. The 59-year-old actor was arrested following an alleged confrontation with his ride-share driver.
According to reports, Sutherland had dinner with a friend before requesting an Uber Black late Sunday night. What began as a routine trip escalated while the vehicle was traveling near Sunset Boulevard and Fairfax Avenue.
Authorities say Sutherland repeatedly demanded that the driver stop the car. When the request was denied, he allegedly issued a death threat and became physically aggressive. The driver contacted emergency services around 12:15 a.m.
Police arrived on the scene and determined that the driver had been assaulted and threatened. While the encounter was serious, officials confirmed that the driver was not injured.
Media reports noted a possible language barrier, as the driver reportedly spoke Russian or Armenian. Law enforcement arranged for a translator to ensure clear communication during the investigation.
Sutherland was said to be cooperative during his arrest. He was booked on felony charges related to criminal threats, held for several hours, and later released on $50,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in court on February 2.
The incident has renewed attention on the actor’s past legal issues and sparked widespread online discussion. While authorities continue reviewing the case, the public awaits further details as the legal process moves forward.
