Donald Trump sent Hollywood superstar
In 2016, Samuel L. Jackson accused Donald Trump of cheating at golf after Trump denied ever playing a round with the actor. Jackson had previously mentioned in an interview that he received a bill from Trump’s National Golf Club despite not being a member. Jackson claimed he had played golf with Trump, but the president responded on Twitter, saying he didn’t know Jackson and hadn’t golfed with him. He also criticized Jackson for doing too many commercials. Jackson, however, posted the bill on Instagram, joking about Trump’s claim and expressing frustration with the situation.
Jackson further addressed the feud on The Late Show with Seth Meyers, recounting an incident where he and actor Anthony Anderson saw Trump hook a ball into a lake at Trump National Golf Club. Jackson humorously described how Trump’s caddy allegedly found the ball, despite it being in a lake. He also revealed that Trump often referred to himself in the third person as “The Don” and had called Jackson to arrange a golf game. Despite the tension, Jackson’s posts and comments kept the playful rivalry alive.
