Donald Trump’s ‘repugnant’ behaviour with Saudi Crown Prince horrifies Americans

The U.S. President welcomed Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to Washington D.C. on Tuesday (18 Nov), a visit meant to reinforce ties between the two nations.

After their high-level discussions, Donald Trump referred to Saudi Arabia as a “major non-NATO ally,” signalling closer military cooperation and access to advanced American weaponry.

Trump also revealed plans to sell F-35 fighter jets to the kingdom, following Saudi commitments to invest heavily in U.S. sectors such as technology, civil nuclear energy, and artificial intelligence. A formal dinner later included notable guests like Cristiano Ronaldo, Elon Musk, and Tim Cook.

During the visit, Trump toured the Crown Prince through the White House, showing him the new “Presidential Walk of Fame” in the West Wing—a display that quickly drew backlash from critics.

Installed in September, the exhibit features black-and-white portraits of previous U.S. presidents. Instead of a photo of President Joe Biden, however, Trump replaced it with an image of an autopen machine, mocking past claims—denied by Biden’s team—that Biden used it to sign important documents.

Images from the tour show the Crown Prince laughing as Trump presented the display, sparking sharp reactions online once the photos spread.

Many Americans expressed outrage, accusing Trump of disrespecting a former U.S. leader in front of a foreign guest and claiming the gesture undermined national dignity. Critics called the move childish, petty, and unbecoming of a president, with some arguing it embarrassed the country more than it insulted Biden.
