Donald Trump’s right hand woman says he’s in Epstein files but explains why
Susie Wiles, President Donald Trump’s chief of staff, has made striking comments about the president’s past connections to Jeffrey Epstein, saying Trump is mentioned in the Epstein files. In interviews with Vanity Fair, Wiles described Trump and Epstein as having moved in similar social circles when they were younger.
Wiles, who became the first woman to serve as White House chief of staff in January, shared behind-the-scenes insights into her role and her views on Trump’s personality and leadership style. She characterized him as having what she called “an alcoholic’s personality” and a belief that there are no limits to what he can do.
Addressing the Epstein documents, Wiles said she had reviewed what she referred to as “the Epstein file.” She confirmed that Trump’s name appears in the records but stressed that there is no indication he engaged in wrongdoing.
According to Wiles, Trump was listed on flight manifests connected to Epstein and had traveled on his plane. She framed their relationship as part of a shared lifestyle at the time, describing them as “young, single playboys” before their association reportedly ended in 2004.
The Epstein files, released by the House Oversight Committee, include tens of thousands of pages such as flight logs, emails, court records, and investigative materials. Many names appear in the documents, though inclusion does not imply criminal conduct.
Wiles also addressed claims Trump previously made about former president Bill Clinton. She said there is no evidence Clinton visited Epstein’s island, contradicting Trump’s earlier public statements.
When asked directly whether the files contained anything incriminating about Clinton, Wiles responded that they did not and acknowledged that Trump had been mistaken on that point.
