Email from ‘The Invisible Man’ visiting royal castle requests ‘new inappropriate friends’ in latest Epstein files release
A newly released set of documents connected to Jeffrey Epstein includes an email sent by someone identifying themselves as “The Invisible Man,” who asked Ghislaine Maxwell to help find “new inappropriate friends.”
The email was part of a large disclosure of around 300,000 Epstein-related files made public by the US Department of Justice on December 19, following a federal requirement. Although officials said the full release could not be completed on time, documents have continued to emerge.
Among them is this message, whose author has not been identified. It was addressed to Maxwell, now serving a 20-year prison sentence for child sex trafficking connected to Epstein.
In the email, written in August 2001, the sender described being at a “Royal Family” summer camp in Balmoral, Scotland. They claimed the girls there were “completely shattered” from daily activities and said it was exhausting to keep them separated.
The writer also asked Maxwell whether she had found “new inappropriate friends” and suggested traveling somewhere warm with “fun people” between late August and early September.
Maxwell replied sarcastically, saying she had only managed to find “appropriate friends,” and jokingly mentioned “church meetings.” She signed off affectionately.
The sender later responded, saying they were distressed by her answer and added that their long-serving valet had died. They described personal upheaval, including leaving the Royal Navy and feeling unsettled, before ending the exchange with hopes of seeing Maxwell soon.
