‘Full House’ star Lori Loughlin and husband Mossimo Giannulli split after 27 years – here’s what we know
After 27 years together, actress Lori Loughlin and fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli have decided to separate. A spokesperson confirmed that the couple is living apart and taking time to adjust, though no legal action has been initiated.
“They are spending time apart and taking a break from their marriage,” said Loughlin’s representative, Elizabeth Much. “There are no current legal proceedings.”
The couple shares two daughters, Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose Giannulli, and have faced intense public attention over the years. Their separation gained notice after Loughlin was seen dining in West Hollywood with actor James Tupper. The two shared a brief hug outside The Bird Streets Club, though Loughlin’s team stressed their meeting was purely friendly.
Loughlin and Giannulli were embroiled in the 2019 college admissions bribery scandal, paying $500,000 to secure their daughters’ spots at USC as athletic recruits despite neither participating in rowing. Both pled guilty. Loughlin served two months in prison, followed by supervised release, community service, and fines totaling $150,000. Giannulli served five months, along with community confinement, service, and a $250,000 fine.
Before the scandal, the couple was often admired as a stable Hollywood pair. They married in 1997, and in 2016, Loughlin spoke about the importance of letting minor disagreements slide and prioritizing peace in marriage.
She also emphasized maintaining quality time together, noting that she and Giannulli reserved Friday evenings for dinner dates to stay connected amid busy schedules.
Now, as they navigate this new chapter apart, the couple appears focused on handling the transition thoughtfully and privately, despite fan speculation about the reasons behind their split.
