Harrison Ford has scathing message for Trump ‘while the world goes to hell in a handbasket’

He’s fought countless foes on screen — but Harrison Ford says the real danger today isn’t from fiction, it’s from climate change.

At 83, the Star Wars and Indiana Jones icon voiced his alarm over former U.S. President Donald Trump’s environmental policies, calling them deeply troubling. “He doesn’t have policies — only whims,” Ford told The Guardian. “The ignorance, the lies… it’s unbelievable. I don’t know of a greater criminal in history.”

Ford, a passionate environmental advocate for over 30 years, has long used his fame to champion conservation.

He has spoken at the United Nations Climate Action Summit, collaborated with Conservation International, and lent his voice to campaigns warning that the planet is running out of time.

“Everything scientists predicted is happening,” he said. “And yet we continue to hold on to old habits instead of changing.”

Despite his harsh criticism of global inaction, Ford says he still believes in humanity’s ability to turn things around. “We are amazingly adaptable and inventive,” he reflected. “If we commit to solving a problem, we can do it — we just need the will.”

Recently honored in Chicago for his decades of environmental work, Ford shared a tender memory from his youth — locking eyes with a wild red fox. “It looked at me,” he recalled softly. “And in that moment, I realized I was part of nature.”
