Holly Hagan’s sister, 19, dies as star shares ‘immeasurable grief’
Holly Hagan has announced the heartbreaking death of her younger sister, Darci Rose, at the age of 19. The Geordie Shore star, 33, shared the news in an emotional message expressing her “immeasurable grief and sadness.”
In a statement posted to social media, Hagan wrote that her sister “passed away peacefully holding my hand, surrounded by family and her best friends.” She added, “She was never in any pain.”
Reflecting on the loss, Hagan described the past few days as “something I hope no family ever has to go through,” saying her family is “traumatised in every sense of the word.”
She expressed gratitude to the staff at Manchester Royal Infirmary for “giving my sister the best chance,” acknowledging their efforts in Darci’s care.
The reality star said that one day the family will share Darci’s story, but for now, they have asked for privacy as they “process what has happened.”
Hagan went on to speak lovingly about her sister, describing her as “so beautiful” and unaware of how stunning she truly was.
Sharing a lighthearted memory, Hagan joked that she often told Darci to skip the “huge spider lashes,” even though she admitted she wore “nine pairs” at the same age. She fondly recalled her sister’s quirks—forgetting to switch off lights, leaving doors unlocked after nights out, and leaving the freezer open—memories that now bring both laughter and tears.
