How US captured Maduro after raiding Venezuelan safe house ‘in a matter of seconds’

After months of preparation and repeated delays, a dramatic military operation culminated in the capture of Venezuela’s president, Nicolás Maduro. The mission followed years of intelligence planning aimed at removing him from power.

Former President Donald Trump reportedly approved the operation after giving the final authorization late one evening. The plan had been postponed several times due to weather, despite forces being on alert since late December.

The operation involved extensive coordination between intelligence agencies and elite military units. Its objective was not only Maduro’s removal but also restoring access to Venezuela’s vast oil resources for U.S. interests.

In the early hours of the morning, a massive air campaign began. Fighter jets, missiles, and naval assets were used to dismantle air defenses and key military sites across Caracas, creating confusion and ensuring air superiority.

These strikes served as cover for special operations helicopters carrying Delta Force troops. Cyber and electronic warfare reportedly disabled power and communications across large parts of the country.

After intelligence confirmed Maduro’s location, elite forces descended on his compound. Using surprise tactics and overwhelming force, they neutralized guards and prevented him from reaching a secure safe room.

Within minutes, Maduro and his wife were detained and flown to a U.S. naval vessel. He was later transferred to New York, where he now faces multiple serious criminal charges related to drugs and weapons.
