Investors Who Paid $148,000,000 To Attend Trump’s
Crypto investors who paid a staggering \$148 million to attend a dinner with Donald Trump were left disappointed by the meal and overall experience. The event, held at the Trump National Golf Club on May 22, was exclusive to the top 220 holders of Trump’s \$TRUMP crypto coin, with some attendees spending up to \$300,000 for the privilege. On average, guests spent about \$1.78 million each. While the dinner included dishes like halibut with citrus reduction and filet mignon, many described it as subpar. One guest said it was the worst food they had ever eaten at a Trump golf course, with others noting the only beverage offered was Trump’s wine or water, and that the meal was on par with airline food.
The event, which was supposed to feature a meal with Trump, saw the former president appear for only an hour, during which he gave a short speech and danced to the YMCA. Guests left with gift bags containing themed hats, posters, and a collectible card, but some said the bags were underwhelming. While the four biggest investors received a Trump Tourbillon watch valued at around \$100,000 and a raffle was held for two more watches, many attendees were unimpressed and questioned if the event was truly worth the cost.
