Joe Biden has honest message
Former US President Joe Biden has questioned Donald Trump’s actions during his second term, expressing confusion by asking, “What the hell’s going on?” Reflecting on Trump’s decisions, Biden pointed out the unusual moves such as renaming the Gulf of Mexico to the “Gulf of America” and suggesting that Canada become the 51st state to avoid tariffs. Biden criticized these ideas, emphasizing that they do not align with American values of freedom and democracy. Trump’s ambition to acquire Greenland also drew criticism, with Biden questioning why a president would talk about territorial expansion in such a way.
Other leaders have also reacted to Trump’s stance. Mexico’s President Claudia Sheinbaum humorously proposed renaming the United States as “Mexican America” in response to Trump’s comments. Meanwhile, Canada’s former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and newly appointed Prime Minister Mark Carney have firmly dismissed the idea of Canada becoming a US state. Carney reiterated during his meeting with Trump that Canada is “not for sale” and remains steadfast in its independence, regardless of Trump’s proposals.
