Two young brothers, 7-year-old Bowyn Miller and 4-year-old Banx McAmis, tragically drowned near Hamm Creek Park along the Brazos River in Johnson County, Texas. What began as a joyful afternoon by the water quickly turned into a devastating tragedy when the boys suddenly went missing.
Family members and park visitors immediately began searching the area, and emergency crews arrived shortly after to assist. After nearly two hours of searching, rescuers recovered the children’s bodies, but both were sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Bowyn, a second-grader at Plum Creek Elementary, was remembered for his adventurous personality and love of karate, video games, and the outdoors.
His younger brother Banx, known for his boundless energy and love of Ninja Turtles, was described as a source of laughter and happiness for everyone around him. The two shared a close bond that deeply touched their family and community.
In the wake of their loss, neighbors held vigils, laid flowers near the river, and donated over $35,000 through a GoFundMe campaign to help cover funeral and memorial costs.
