Kamala Harris says ‘it’s f—– up’ what RFK Jr’s HHS is doing to America
Former Vice President Kamala Harris strongly criticized the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) under Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and President Donald Trump, calling out what she described as dangerous actions undermining science and public health.
Speaking at Washington, D.C.’s Warner Theatre alongside podcaster Kara Swisher, Harris discussed her new book, 107 Days, recounting her experiences during the 2024 election. Swisher joked that by the end of their conversation, more shocking news would likely have emerged.
Harris drew a personal connection to the issue, noting her mother’s career in science aimed at improving human welfare. She contrasted that with the current leadership at HHS, criticizing their approach to research and medical progress.
She condemned moves to “end the war on cancer, deny science, and fire scientists,” calling the actions “criminal” because they put human lives at risk. Harris emphasized the real-world consequences, noting that patients suffering from diseases or cancers could be harmed by policies fueled by misinformation.
“I can’t laugh about that, I’m sorry. It’s f—– up,” she said, underlining the seriousness of her concerns.
Harris also pointed to her own qualifications, highlighting her experience and asserting that some considered her “the most qualified candidate ever to run for president.” Swisher responded with humor, prompting Harris to stress that her statement reflected fact rather than opinion.
Fox News Digital reached out to HHS for comment on Harris’s remarks but did not receive an immediate response. Her comments add to ongoing debates about scientific integrity and leadership in federal health agencies under the current administration.
