Kristi Noem makes savage proposal to Trump ahead of his address to nation which could have a major impact
Kristi Noem, the U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security, has made a forceful recommendation to President Trump as he prepares to address the nation on December 2.
Trump is scheduled to speak at 2 p.m. ET from the White House, where he is expected to touch on several key issues.
One likely topic is Venezuela, especially after Trump recently declared the airspace above and around the country completely restricted.
On November 29, he posted a warning on social media, telling airlines, pilots, and traffickers to treat Venezuelan airspace as entirely closed.
Immigration is also expected to be a central point of the address following a shooting in Washington, D.C., allegedly committed by an Afghan national. The incident prompted Trump to implement several immigration changes, including halting certain requests from Afghan applicants.
Noem, however, has pushed for even stronger action, urging the president to impose a “full travel ban” on all countries she claims are sending dangerous individuals to the United States.
In a post on December 1, she argued that America’s founders built the nation through hard work and sacrifice, not for outsiders to abuse U.S. systems, adding, “We don’t want them. Not one.”
Though Noem did not specify which countries would be targeted, the Department of Homeland Security said a list would be released soon. According to White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt, Trump supports expanding the travel restrictions even further, insisting that entering the U.S. is a privilege reserved for those who respect American laws and values.
