Lip reader reveals seven

During Pope Francis’ funeral on 26 April, a lip reader claims to have caught President Donald Trump making a brief comment to his wife Melania. The couple, dressed in a striking blue suit and traditional black attire respectively, were seated prominently at the service in Vatican City. Amidst the ceremony, Trump leaned toward Melania and reportedly said, “I’ll go over and speak to him,” according to forensic lip reader Nicola Hickling. While it’s unclear who Trump was referring to, Melania allegedly responded with a subtle ‘side eye’ without speaking.

Melania, a practicing Catholic, had previously met Pope Francis in 2017 and expressed deep admiration for the late pontiff. Trump, originally a Presbyterian who now identifies as a non-denominational Christian, said he attended the funeral out of respect, emphasizing his strong support among Catholic voters. Reflecting on their past Vatican visit, Melania recalled being humbled and honored, highlighting her spiritual connection to the Catholic faith.
