Major fashion brands

A wave of viral TikTok videos from China claims that consumers can buy luxury fashion items, like Lululemon yoga pants, directly from factories at a fraction of the retail price. These videos suggest that the same products sold by big brands can be purchased for much less by going straight to the source, with some items allegedly costing as little as £4.55 instead of the usual £76. These posts gained traction amid ongoing tensions from the US-China trade war, with Chinese influencers mocking the reliance of Western brands on Chinese manufacturing.

However, major brands like Lululemon and Adidas have pushed back, stating that the items shown in the videos are counterfeit and not produced in their official factories. Lululemon clarified that it does not work with the manufacturers featured in the clips and warned consumers against buying fake products. Adidas emphasized that their products are not sold directly by suppliers and should be purchased through official retailers. The companies urge buyers to be cautious, reminding them that deals that seem too good to be true usually are, and that there’s little chance of getting a refund for low-quality knock-offs.
