Michael Schumacher ‘signs’

Formula 1 legend Michael Schumacher, who has remained out of the public eye since his 2013 skiing accident, recently added his initials to a special helmet owned by Sir Jackie Stewart. With help from his wife Corinna, Schumacher became the final living F1 world champion to sign the helmet, which will be auctioned to support Stewart’s Race Against Dementia charity. The helmet will be unveiled at the Bahrain Grand Prix, where Stewart will also drive his 1973 championship-winning car. Stewart, whose wife suffers from dementia, expressed deep gratitude for Schumacher’s contribution, emphasizing the helmet’s symbolic and charitable importance.

Meanwhile, Schumacher’s family continues to keep his condition private. A close friend, former driver Christian Danner, revealed that Corinna and their son Mick avoid speaking publicly about the accident as a way to cope. Journalist Felix Gorner previously reported that Schumacher is fully dependent on caregivers and unable to communicate verbally, though this remains unconfirmed by the family. Only a select group of individuals are allowed close access to the F1 icon. The Schumacher family has consistently guarded his privacy, prioritizing his dignity and well-being throughout his long recovery journey.
