New Report Reveals Chilling Final Words Between Air India Pilots Before Crash That Claimed 260 Lives

A recent report has revealed the final words exchanged between the pilots of Air India flight AI 171 before it tragically crashed, killing 270 people. The flight, en route to London Gatwick, took off from Ahmedabad Airport on June 12 but crashed shortly after takeoff.

The only known survivor is 40-year-old British national Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, who was found in seat 11A and is currently recovering in hospital. Authorities confirmed that the crash occurred in a residential area, raising fears that the death toll could climb.

Ramesh described the horrifying moment of the crash, saying there was a loud noise within seconds of takeoff. The plane then crashed, leaving wreckage and bodies around him as he managed to escape.

He recalled that the aircraft wasn’t gaining height, lights began flickering, and moments later it hit a building and exploded. His account of walking through the rubble and seeing people die around him is harrowing.

Ramesh believes he survived because he was seated on the side not facing the building and was close to the emergency exit. A police officer confirmed he escaped through the emergency door.

Tragically, Ramesh lost his brother Ajay in the crash. He shared that witnessing his brother’s death was devastating and that he initially thought he had died too.

A preliminary investigation revealed that one pilot asked why the thrust had cut off, while the other denied doing so. Captain Sumeet Sabharwal’s last recorded words were, “Mayday… no thrust, losing power, unable to lift.”
