Nexstar Refuses To Air Kimmel’s Return
Nexstar and Sinclair, the two largest station owners affiliated with ABC, have announced they will stop airing Jimmy Kimmel Live!
The decision comes after host Jimmy Kimmel inaccurately stated that Charlie Kirk was murdered by a supporter of the MAGA movement.
In response to the controversy, ABC has suspended the late-night show indefinitely. Sources suggest Disney may even consider canceling it permanently.
An anonymous staff member from Kimmel’s team cautioned that issuing an apology alone might not be enough to save the program.
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is also taking notice, with Chairman Brendan Carr indicating he is reviewing the possibility of an investigation into Kimmel’s remarks.
Authorities have since clarified that the suspect responsible for the incident actually held left-leaning political views, rather than any connection to MAGA.
The situation has sparked widespread debate over media responsibility and the consequences of spreading false information, putting both Kimmel and ABC under intense scrutiny.
