NFL draft prospect Kyren Lacy, 24, has tragically died in an apparent suicide following a police pursuit. The former LSU wide receiver, who had recently declared for the 2025 draft, fled from police after a family member called 911 during a domestic dispute in which Lacy reportedly fired a gun into the ground. Authorities attempted to stop him, but he drove off, later crashing his vehicle. When officers approached, they found Lacy dead from a suspected self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Lacy was also facing legal issues, with a scheduled grand jury appearance related to a fatal crash in December. He had been charged with negligent homicide, reckless driving, and felony hit-and-run after allegedly causing a collision that led to another driver’s death.
