Nostradamus’ Chilling 16th Century Prediction Resurfaces After Pope’s Death

Pope Francis passed away on Easter Monday at the age of 88, drawing new attention to a centuries-old prediction by the astrologer Nostradamus.

In his 1555 work Les Prophéties, Nostradamus foretold the death of a “very old pope” and suggested it would signal a weakening of the Catholic Church’s influence.

He also predicted the rise of a new pope who would “weaken his seat,” implying challenges to Church authority, though this new leader would hold power for a long period.

Nostradamus’ writings have always sparked debate, but some believe he accurately foresaw major world events, including Hitler’s rise and the COVID-19 pandemic.

With Pope Francis’ death, many are now connecting his prophecies to the current shift in Vatican leadership and the uncertain future of the Church.

The pope had faced numerous health issues in recent years, including surgeries and hospitalizations, contributing to growing concerns about his condition.

His papacy was historic, as he was the first non-European pope in over 1,300 years and known for his progressive reforms. Nostradamus also warned that 2025 would bring global turmoil, including wars, disease, and a cosmic “fireball,” heightening public fascination with his predictions.
