Ozzy Osbourne Dies Aged 76
Legendary rock star Ozzy Osbourne, famously known as the Prince of Darkness, has passed away at 76 after battling numerous health issues, including Parkinson’s disease. He died peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones, shortly after performing a final concert in his hometown.
On July 5, Ozzy gave a farewell performance titled Back to the Beginning at Villa Park in Birmingham. Unable to stand due to recent surgeries, he performed seated on a black throne in front of nearly 50,000 fans, making it an emotional and unforgettable night.
Despite his health struggles, Ozzy prepared intensely for the concert with a rehab therapist in Los Angeles. After nearly seven years away from live performances, he was determined to thank his fans properly with one last show.
Before the concert, Ozzy described the event as his “final encore,” emphasizing his desire to end his career where it began. He said it was important for him to say goodbye on his own terms.
His wife, Sharon, revealed how hard he had worked to make the night possible, saying, “Ozzy’s number one priority has always been his fans.” The concert was also a family celebration, as their daughter Kelly got engaged on stage.
Born in Aston, Birmingham, Ozzy rose from humble beginnings to help form Black Sabbath, forever changing heavy metal. Known for his wild stage antics, he later enjoyed a solo career and became a reality TV icon.
Following his passing, tributes poured in online. His family’s statement asked for privacy, saying Ozzy died surrounded by love — just as he had lived, loud and legendary.
