Bindi Irwin, the 24-year-old daughter of the late Steve Irwin, is on her road to recovery after a decade of severe pain. In March, she shared her diagnosis of endometriosis, a condition in which tissue similar to the uterine lining grows outside the uterus, causing damage to the pelvic area, ovaries, and more.
In an Instagram post, Bindi detailed the countless doctor visits and being dismissed until a friend helped her find the right answers. Surgery revealed 37 lesions and an ovarian cyst.
Bindi encouraged compassion in her post, reminding others that pain isn’t always visible. She expressed gratitude for her daughter, Grace Warrior, and urged women who are suffering in silence to seek help: “Your pain is real. Don’t give up.”
