Prince Harry Admits Bringing Archie & Lilibet Back To The U.K. Is ‘Impossible’
Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, recently spoke about his relationship with the United Kingdom and whether he might ever return to live there with his family. Now 40, he has spent years challenging British tabloids over their treatment of Meghan Markle and concerns about his family’s privacy and safety.
Those concerns intensified after Harry lost a legal appeal seeking automatic, state-funded police protection during visits to the U.K. He described the ruling as deeply upsetting and said it left him feeling abandoned and unfairly treated.
Following the decision, Harry confirmed he would not pursue further legal action, explaining that the outcome convinced him the courts offered no realistic path to success. He argued that the system had already made its position clear.
Harry also suggested the royal family played a role in shaping the situation. He said his safety in the U.K. now depends on invitations and decisions influenced by his father, adding that the issue could be resolved if those in control stepped back and allowed experts to act.
In a BBC interview on May 2, 2025, Harry said he could not imagine bringing Meghan and their children to Britain without proper security, stating that the risks were simply too great.
Despite everything, he emphasized his enduring love for the U.K. He expressed sadness that his children may never experience his homeland or enjoy the parts of British life he once cherished.
Although still estranged from much of his family, Harry said he hopes for reconciliation. Acknowledging the value of time and family, he shared his wish to repair relationships before it is too late.
