Rosie O’Donnell savagely hits back at Trump following threat to revoke her citizenship
Rosie O’Donnell and Donald Trump have reignited their long-standing feud, exchanging harsh words after Trump threatened to revoke her U.S. citizenship.
The conflict escalated when Trump posted on Truth Social, claiming O’Donnell is a “Threat to Humanity” and stating he was considering removing her citizenship. He also suggested she should stay in Ireland, where she now lives with her son following Trump’s reelection.
Despite Trump’s threat, legal experts say he has no power to revoke citizenship. Amanda Frost, a law professor, explained that the Fourteenth Amendment prohibits the government from stripping citizenship from native-born Americans.
Frost emphasized that the U.S. government cannot choose who remains a citizen, reiterating that such authority does not lie with the president.
In response, O’Donnell took a personal swipe at Trump by sharing a photo of him with Jeffrey Epstein on Instagram. Her caption strongly criticized Trump and reaffirmed her refusal to be silenced.
Trump has previously denied any close connection to Epstein, who died in 2019. However, O’Donnell’s post touched on one of the most controversial topics surrounding Trump.
The issue remains sensitive, especially after the FBI and Department of Justice concluded that Epstein’s death was a suicide and that no secret “client list” exists. Despite promising to reveal Epstein-related files, Trump has faced backlash—even from his supporters—for failing to follow through.
UNILAD has contacted the White House for a statement regarding the ongoing dispute.
