Snoop Dogg made a once in a lifetime investment

Snoop Dogg, known for his music and cannabis ventures, also proved to have sharp investment instincts by backing Reddit during its early, uncertain days. Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian recently praised Snoop on X (formerly Twitter), revealing the rapper was one of the platform’s first major investors during a crucial turnaround period. While most investors were hesitant, Snoop believed in Reddit’s potential, earning him the title of a true “Day One.” Ohanian expressed gratitude for Snoop’s early support, emphasizing how rare it was at the time.

In 2014, Reddit secured a \$50 million funding round led by Sam Altman, with Snoop Dogg as a standout name on the list. Beyond his financial backing, Snoop had already become a Reddit favorite thanks to his popular AMAs. He later joked about being more than just a celebrity presence, proudly calling himself part of Reddit. Now valued at \$10 billion and officially public, the platform has made that early investment a major win for Snoop—proving he knows how to invest as well as he knows how to rap.
