Suspect shouted chilling words before arrest as nine people left fighting for their lives after horrifying knife attack on train

What began as a calm evening train ride quickly descended into chaos.

Passengers traveling from Doncaster to London were thrown into panic when two men armed with knives launched a violent attack, leaving nine people critically injured.

Witnesses described scenes of terror lasting nearly 15 minutes before the train made an emergency stop at Huntingdon Station, where armed officers boarded.

Taxi driver Viorel Turturica, who was waiting nearby, recalled the terrifying moment one of the suspects fled. “He ran past my car holding a big kitchen knife,” he said. “Moments later, police Tasered him, and I heard him scream, ‘Kill me, kill me, kill me!’”

Police later confirmed that both suspects — British men in their 30s — were arrested at the scene.

Although counterterrorism officers were initially called in, authorities have since stated that there is no evidence of a terrorist motive. “It’s too early to draw conclusions,” said Superintendent John Loveless of the British Transport Police.

For the shaken passengers, the memory of that night remains vivid — the screams, the panic, and the horror of realizing how quickly an ordinary journey can turn into a nightmare.
