This 79-Year-Old Beauty Icon

Candice Bergen, a former model and acclaimed actress, has lived a dynamic life both on and off the screen. Once known for her elegant and reserved image, she rose to fame in the 1960s as a beauty icon before transitioning into serious acting roles, most notably as Murphy Brown, a strong, independent journalist in the hit sitcom. Despite facing personal challenges, including the loss of her first husband, Louis Malle, to lymphoma and overcoming a stroke, Bergen remained resilient, later marrying businessman Marshall Rose. In recent years, she has embraced aging gracefully, choosing to live authentically without succumbing to societal pressures regarding appearance.

Bergen became a grandmother in 2020, celebrating the birth of her daughter Chloe’s son, Arthur, while also launching her creative side project, BergenBags, offering hand-painted designs. Despite enduring hardships, including the passing of Rose in 2025 after a battle with Parkinson’s, Bergen has remained optimistic and active. Her candid reflections on aging, health, and family have resonated with fans, earning her admiration for living life on her own terms.
