Top FBI Official Speaks Out With Surprising Claim Regarding Epstein Case

FBI deputy director Dan Bongino revealed that during his tenure he encountered information that “shocked me to my core.” His comments came amid criticism over his handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files.

Bongino shared a cryptic social media post pledging to uncover “the truth,” stating, “We cannot run a Republic like this. I’ll never be the same after learning what I’ve learned.”

He emphasized that any investigation he oversees would follow legal procedures, promising a search for objective truth, not personal or partisan narratives. “We are going to get the answers WE ALL DESERVE,” he said.

Bongino alluded to government corruption and weaponization but did not indicate when the public might learn the full details of his findings.

Both Bongino and FBI Director Kash Patel have faced scrutiny for their management of Epstein-related documents. Bongino had even threatened to resign over the handling of Epstein’s alleged client list, which was partially withheld after a DOJ statement.

Reports suggest tensions extended to the Trump administration. Attorney General Pam Bondi allegedly informed Trump that his name appeared in the files, and the documents were withheld due to sensitive content, including images of child sexual abuse.

While Ghislaine Maxwell is serving a 20-year sentence for her role in Epstein’s crimes, she has indicated willingness to testify before Congress. Trump has not been charged, and being named in the files does not imply guilt. He also has not ruled out a possible pardon for Maxwell, saying it is “something I haven’t thought about.”
