Trump blasts ‘traitor’ Marjorie Taylor Greene in scathing rant after explosive 60 Minutes interview
Marjorie Taylor Greene has recently revealed she will step down from her position in the U.S. House of Representatives, and her split from Donald Trump has become increasingly public and hostile.
The pair were once strong political allies, but Trump abruptly distanced himself from the Georgia congresswoman last month, announcing on Truth Social that he was withdrawing his endorsement.
He claimed that Greene did nothing but “complain” and said her frustrations began after he shared polling showing she had little chance of winning a Senate or gubernatorial race unless he supported her — support he said he had no intention of giving.
Trump later escalated the criticism, calling her a “ranting lunatic.” Shortly after, Greene revealed her plans to resign from Congress. She later appeared on CBS’ 60 Minutes with Lesley Stahl, where she addressed her falling-out with Trump and tensions within the Republican Party.
During the interview, Greene said many Republicans privately mock Trump but publicly support him because they fear backlash on social media. She claimed her colleagues shifted their tone dramatically once Trump secured the 2024 primary.
The interview aired on December 7, and Trump quickly fired back on Truth Social, mocking Greene, claiming she “went bad” only after feeling rejected, and insulting her intelligence and ideas.
He continued attacking her character and criticized Paramount Skydance for airing the segment. UNILAD has reached out to Greene for a response.
