Trump gives chilling 6-word

During a recent Fox News interview, Donald Trump suggested he is exploring the idea of deporting violent American-born criminals to prisons overseas, stating, “I would love to do that.” While meeting with El Salvador’s president, Trump said Attorney General Pam Bondi is reviewing whether such actions could be legal, emphasizing the need to follow the law. Legal experts, however, argue that deporting U.S. citizens is unconstitutional, as immigration laws only apply to non-citizens. Critics warn the plan undermines fundamental rights tied to American citizenship.

Separately, Trump’s controversial deportation policies led to a wrongful removal of Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia, a Maryland resident, to a notorious prison in El Salvador due to an administrative error. A 2019 court ruling had protected Garcia from deportation because of gang threats. The Supreme Court ordered his return, but El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele refused, calling Garcia a “terrorist” and rejecting any request to return him. Trump did not comment on Garcia’s case during the meeting, while Bondi stated it’s up to El Salvador to send him back, with the U.S. only facilitating transport if they agree.
