Trump issues scathing warning to Putin after Russia
Donald Trump recently criticized Russian President Vladimir Putin for his “needless killing” of civilians and soldiers in Ukraine, warning that such actions could lead to the “downfall of Russia.” This came after a massive Russian attack on Ukraine on May 24 that reportedly involved 367 drones and missiles, injuring dozens and killing at least 12 people, including children. On social media, Trump said Putin had “gone absolutely CRAZY,” insisting that Putin wants all of Ukraine, not just part of it. Trump also blamed Ukrainian President Zelenskyy for escalating tensions with his statements, saying, “Everything out of his mouth causes problems.”
Trump stated that the war would never have started if he had been president at the time, calling it “Zelenskyy’s, Putin’s, and Biden’s War.” He also condemned the attacks on civilians, sharing photos of the destruction in Kyiv and calling for a ceasefire. Trump’s special envoy for Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, also condemned the attacks on Twitter. Meanwhile, Zelenskyy accused America of being “silent” on the issue, noting that a lack of action only emboldens Putin. Trump said during a press conference that he’s “absolutely” considering sanctions against Russia.
