Trump’s former staffer reveals ‘most embarrassing thing’ he saw him do and it involved his wife Melania
Former White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci recently shared what he considers the most embarrassing moment he witnessed involving Donald Trump. He revealed the story during a live recording of The Rest is Politics US podcast at London’s O2 Arena on July 16.
Scaramucci, who briefly served under Trump in 2017 before being fired after just 11 days, didn’t hold back when asked if he ever saw Trump humbled. He pointed to a rare moment in which the former president apologized to his wife, Melania Trump.
According to Scaramucci, Trump was forced to apologize on October 7, 2016, the same day the infamous Access Hollywood tape was released. The recording, captured in 2005, featured Trump making graphic and offensive comments about women.
In the leaked tape, Trump bragged about trying to sleep with a married woman and made crude remarks, including the infamous line: “Grab ’em by the p***y.” The fallout from the scandal caused panic among Trump’s team.
Scaramucci said Trump was deeply embarrassed and reluctant but ended up apologizing to Melania just before midnight that same day. He described the apology as one of the only ones Trump had given in over two decades.
Melania later confirmed that Trump had apologized to her for his “offensive” and “inappropriate” comments, as she explained in a Fox News interview.
The couple has been married since 2005, the same year the recording took place. They share one son, Barron, who is now 19.
