What Americans really think about Trump

After ten months in office, President Donald Trump insists that his administration is performing well, but recent opinion polls suggest otherwise.

A CNN/SSRS survey shows Trump’s approval rating has dropped to 37%, down from 47% in February. Public sentiment appears largely negative, with 68% of respondents saying things in the U.S. are going “pretty/very badly.”

Voters cite the economy and cost of living as their top concern, at 47%, followed by worries about U.S. democracy at 26%. Immigration ranked lower, with only 10% considering it a primary issue.

The public also criticizes Trump’s policies: 61% believe his actions have worsened the economy, while 56% feel he has harmed America’s global standing. Additionally, 61% think he has overstepped his presidential powers.

These numbers indicate widespread dissatisfaction with Trump’s performance and decision-making, reflecting both domestic and international concerns among voters.

Trump responded to the poll results on Truth Social, dismissing them as “fake polls” promoted by what he called the “Radical Left Media.”

In his post, Trump emphasized his personal perspective, saying, “as I look around my beautiful surroundings, I say to myself, ‘Oh, look, I’m sitting in the Oval Office!’” His comments suggest he remains confident despite declining approval ratings.
