Woman who died for 27 minutes scribbled haunting message when she ‘returned to life’
After being medically dead for 27 minutes, one woman shocked her family with a powerful message upon regaining consciousness.
Tina Hines went into cardiac arrest while hiking with her husband Brian in Phoenix, Arizona, in February 2018. Brian quickly called 911 and performed CPR until paramedics arrived.
On the way to the hospital, Tina had to be revived four times. Upon arrival, doctors used a defibrillator to stabilize her. Technically, she had been dead for nearly half an hour before being successfully resuscitated.
When Tina regained consciousness, still on a ventilator, she urgently requested a pen and paper. Though weak, she managed to write a short but emotional message: “It’s real.”
At first, her family was confused. Her husband wondered if she meant the pain or the hospital, but Tina shook her head. When her daughter asked, “Heaven?” Tina nodded yes.
Tina later described what she saw during those 27 minutes. She claimed to have seen Jesus with open arms, surrounded by a brilliant, glowing light. She recalled the vivid colors and a deep sense of peace and comfort during the experience.
Since then, Tina has written a book titled Heaven – It’s Real… How Dying Changes Living. In it, she shares her story and discusses how her experience helped her face life’s struggles such as anxiety, depression, and fear, offering hope and guidance to others.
