Woman who filmed CEO and employee on Coldplay jumbotron answers all the questions people are asking
A viral video has surfaced showing Astronomer CEO Andy Byron at a Coldplay concert with employee Kristin Cabot, sparking speculation about an affair. The video, taken at Gillette Stadium on July 16, shows Byron with his arms around Cabot as she leans into him during the show.
The moment drew even more attention when the pair appeared on the stadium’s jumbotron during a “kiss cam” segment. Cabot quickly covered her face, and Byron dropped out of the frame, prompting Coldplay’s Chris Martin to joke, “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just really shy.”
Grace Springer, who filmed the clip, posted it on TikTok, unaware of the identities of those involved. She initially thought her group would appear on the screen and only posted the video after friends encouraged her to.
Since then, Grace has spoken out on her own TikTok, confirming she hasn’t been contacted by lawyers and hasn’t profited significantly from the viral post. She reminded viewers to remember that the people involved have families and deserve empathy.
Grace also told LADbible that her group suspected something was off based on the pair’s awkward reaction. While she originally saw the moment as innocent, she later realized the interaction seemed suspicious.
She admitted that if they had reacted normally, she probably wouldn’t have posted the clip at all.
In response to the incident, Astronomer stated that Byron is on leave and Pete DeJoy is now interim CEO. The company emphasized its values and confirmed an internal investigation is underway.
