Wrestling Legend Hulk Hogan Dies At 71

TMZ Sports has reported that wrestling legend Hulk Hogan has passed away at the age of 71. Emergency services responded to a cardiac arrest call at his home in Clearwater, Florida, early Thursday morning.

Hogan was reportedly taken from his residence on a stretcher and transported by ambulance, with several police and EMT units present. The incident followed recent speculation about his health.

Just weeks prior, Hogan’s wife, Sky, denied claims that he was in a coma, stating that his heart was strong and he was recovering from neck surgery. Rumors last month suggested he was on his “deathbed,” but these were linked to complications from a previous procedure.

Hulk Hogan played a pivotal role in transforming professional wrestling into a mainstream, family-oriented sport. His charismatic presence in the ring drew in both children and adults, significantly broadening the sport’s appeal.

In 1996, Hogan shocked fans by turning heel and launching the New World Order (NWO), adopting the persona “Hollywood” Hulk Hogan. This bold move further boosted his fame and reshaped the wrestling world.

He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005 and again in 2020 as a member of NWO. His career faced controversy in 2015 after racist remarks surfaced, leading to his dismissal, though he later won a legal battle with Gawker over the incident.

Beyond wrestling, Hogan had a successful acting career, debuting in Rocky III as Thunderlips, and starred in films like Suburban Commando and Mr. Nanny. He also appeared in the VH1 reality show Hogan Knows Best alongside his family.
